Youth Climate
Network
Uniting young voices across Nigeria, Africa, and the world to build a sustainable future — one community, one action, one generation at a time.

Our Mission
The Climate Crisis is Africa's Opportunity
Africa bears the heaviest burden of a crisis it least created. Yet its youth — vibrant, creative, and 600 million strong — hold the solutions the world desperately needs.
Youth Climate Network exists to mobilize, educate, and amplify the voices of young Nigerians and Africans driving climate action from grassroots communities to global summits.
Sustainable Agriculture
Championing climate-smart farming practices across rural Nigeria and the Sahel.
Renewable Energy
Advocating for clean energy access in underserved African communities.
Coastal Resilience
Protecting coastal and delta communities from rising sea levels.
Reforestation
Leading tree-planting drives to restore degraded African forests.
Our Reach
Local Roots. Continental Reach.
Global Voice.
Rooted in Nigeria
From the mangroves of the Niger Delta to the drying shores of Lake Chad, our chapters span all 36 states — building local resilience with global vision.
Connected Across Africa
We partner with youth-led organizations from Nairobi to Accra, Dakar to Johannesburg, creating a continental coalition for climate justice.
Heard on the World Stage
Our members have represented Africa at COP28, the UN Youth Climate Summit, and the African Union, carrying the demands of African youth to decision-makers.
From Lagos to Lusaka, Kano to Kampala
The YCN network spans 54 African countries and connects with youth climate movements on every continent.

Voices
Stories of Change
YCN gave me the training and platform to turn my frustration about flooding in Benue into a statewide campaign. Now I sit in rooms where decisions are made.
Through the Green Hub in Kano, I developed a solar-powered irrigation system that now serves 200 farmers. I never thought I could do that at 22.
Being part of the YCN delegation to COP28 changed my life. African youth are not victims of climate change — we are its most creative solvers.
